When Penny first reached out to us about her day, I was immediately captivated by her energy over the phone. She had a sparkle in her voice as she spitballed an idea, “Would you shoot a wedding on a Monday or Tuesday?” Penny and Jason’s kids would be in town for Christmas and they wanted to tie the knot surrounded by their most important people. It was such an honor to both photograph AND host their ceremony on Christmas Eve’s Eve with the most perfect coat of snow falling just in time! If Penny’s over-the-phone voice wasn’t sweet enough, watching all her grandbabies scream out “Gigi!” as her and Jason waltzed into the studio was enough to already bring me to tears (and the day had just started!). We wrapped up our day at Penny and Jason’s first date and favorite spot where they would share dinner and drinks with their family to celebrate. I can’t think of a more joyful way to top off our 2025 season. Cheers to this wonderful pair, you deserve all the happiness. May your days be filled. with so much love, laughter, and echos of grandkids forever screaming out “Gigi!” like they’ve just seen a celebrity.
